right now, someone is falling in love. someone is having their first kiss and getting the butterflies in their stomach. someone is holding their newborn baby. someone’s having a birthday. someone is laughing so hard their stomach hurts. someone is having a really good dream. someone is falling asleep thinking about someone they love. someone is dancing. someone is getting proposed to. someone is happy.
Walking around, it’s absolutely pathetic that men and women make women especially feel uncomfortable about their clothing choice. Certain styles that are showy or exposing are supposed to only fit a small demographic of women who are 170cm and 50kg? Get real. Women come in all shapes and sizes. If she doesn’t have a body like Miranda Kerr and wants to wear shorts and a tank top, who the hell are you to make her feel like she is any less beautiful? A woman’s clothing choice is entirely her decision, she owns that body, not you. She does not owe you an explanation or justification in any way for her clothing choice. Shame on all of you, men and women who judge based on someone’s clothing just because they don’t fit your societal standards of “aesthetically pleasing”. You’re the one who deserves to be made to feel disgusting about yourself.
“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”— Gautama Buddha (via realizes)
